My life in South Haven, MI brings beautiful days every season. The view from my home in winter is of waves frozen above the lighthouse. I claimed that I didn't care if I had grandchildren. I am an unabashed crazy grandmother who is certain there are no other grandchildren as enchanting as mine!
I travel as often as I can. I think it is my Irish gypsy spirit that can't settle down.
I believe I owe my belief in making the world a better place for everyone to my fortunate years as a student at Cass Tech. Cass Tech made the world a better place for me.
School Story

My wide-eyed fascination sitting in the Auditorium as a 13 year old who felt very far from her element. Long bus rides to school seeing everything the city of Detroit was, from cold-water flats to lavish estates. Taking the public bus to school while the riots still raged and seeing snipers on apartments' roofs. I remember June,1967 as a 17 year old, intent on changing the world.

Hello Mark,
Foremost I am deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss of your son, Christopher. I know there are no words of consolation for such a devastating loss.


I will not be at the Reunion however I want to acknowledge how kind you were to me at the 25th. Not only did I procrastinate my registration for this 50th, I will be in DC 2 weeks this July. A friend of mine (Jim McCloughan)is receiving the Congressional Medal of Honor and I am honored to be a guest at the award ceremonies. Just a random aside, one of my dearest friends, recently diagnosed with ALS, road the same bus as I to school. His stop was St. Leo's, while I went farther down Grand River. Such a small and glorious world.
I wish all attendees a joyful Reunion and send my best regards to those who touched my life and spirit during those wonderful Cass Tech times.
