Commercial Art

While completing my college education (evenings for 11 years) I worked in photography, advertising, graphics and PR firms, the Daily Tribune’s newsroom, and both sides of PR Newswire. I then started my own media distribution corporation. We were Tier One suppliers to the auto companies, a triple-shift business providing database, editorial, printing, production, fulfillment and JIT distribution services.

After closing the shop, I moved to mid-Michigan to be near my family. While there, I worked at MSU and later tutored Korean businessmen in English. Concurrently, I stayed active in ESL and youth mentoring programs, St. Vincent’s Children’s Home, and for years as a Michigan Supreme Court docent before moving back to Troy.
